The Working Mother

·Mothers have to consider many things before making the decision of working or not.

· They need to be clear about their priorities.

· Does the baby and family come first or is a career and financial security of greater importance?

· They have to decide whether they would be happy having others look after their children.

· Mothers need to remember that a job can be very demanding not only in terms of time, but also energy.

· Women spread themselves really thin trying to juggle work life and home life.

·They will have to consider the stress factor of the job because it is not easy to cope with the pressures of a high-stress job and the demands of a baby.

· It would help to find a job that has flexi-hours.

· It will be easier for mothers to be able to stay home on days when there is no other caretaker for the baby or to leave early if there is an emergency with a clear conscience.

Mom, or career?

Welcome!

Hi there! Welcome to our blog! :)

In this informative blog, we will be showing you the challenges of working moms (supermoms, ’she’ jugglers, whatever you call these truly amazing moms) , their struggles and the challenges they have to overcome. These working moms can juggle their careers, kids and husbands, and still leave time for household chores in the end. So, most moms try to finish their work as soon as possible, so they can attend to their needs at home. Every mom is, of course, different. Some are stressed, but some are ’she jugglers’, they have successful careers and get to spend loads of time with their kids and husband. They are able to juggle the heavy load on their shoulders and they come out okay in the end. Some moms have domestic helpers while some come home after an exhausting day at work, still having to wash the dishes, iron and wash clothes, clean the house and sometimes reprimand their children.

To be able to conduct our study on “supermoms”, we shall have interviews, web links, personal thoughts, information and short write-ups to help all of us understand The Challenges of A Working Mom.  Appreciate your moms at home, whether or not they work, and care for them. Feel free to post comments on the blog and enjoy! :D
